I need ideally $340~ dollars for college tuition FAST. I only have 5 days to gather this sum of money.

I moved to my grandparents house in May to take care of my sick grandmother full time, while managing a part time job and school. During the summer, my grandparents promised to pay for my tuition as a thank-you to me, and I was very grateful. However, they pulled the rug out from under my feet and refuse to pay for my classes. I have applied for a loan but since it is so late in the game, the financial aid office said that it will most likely not go through. I have until the 13th to come up with the money.

I have $1,107 dollars to my name,
I need $1,443 for classes.

This isn’t counting books or supplies, either.

i have been in a bad financial situation for a while now. im living out of my car, and today i was fired from my job i had just gotten because i didn’t have a ride or money to put gas into my car. im currently stranded off in the emergency lane of the interstate, with no money, no food or water. I would call my insurance but it got cancelled because once again, I’m literally destitute. And to top it all off, I lost my job because of my homelessness. I’m giving up hope. I don’t feel like I have a chance left anymore.


If you’d like to help me out so I can get off the interstate and maybe actually eat today, that would be a fucking blessing.

Guys. Please, the situation I’m in is getting to be fucking scary. I was able to get off the interstate but I have two tickets from the police for my time being there because I was stuck for so long. My phone bill is due soon, I can’t pay for it because I was fired from the job I had because I had no money for gas. If I don’t have a phone I can’t find help in my local area. I won’t be able to find local pantries or emergency services. I will die. I will literally die. I have a yeast infection I can’t afford to treat. I’m also on my period, and I can’t afford hygienic products so I have had to use socks as makeshift pads.

I’m bedbound & can’t even walk for food & water; without disability care, I WOULD NOT SURVIVE.

Tonight (LESS THAN 1 HOUR LEFT), at least $870  $722 MUST be raised for my care, or I COULD BE KILLED by neglect & dehydration.

  1. My CRPS leaves me permanently bedbound, unable to even walk to food/water
  2. Without paid carers, I’d literally STARVE AND DEHYDRATE.
  3. Despite medical evidence, the government has now refused me care (deprivation is widespread: [1] [2] [3] [4])
  4. Raising enough donations for my care is now A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH.
  5. Lack of paid cleaning could get me evicted within 14 days (instead of 3 months) and PERMANENTLY BANNED from rental subsidies. Being BEDBOUND, HOMELESSNESS COULD KILL ME.
  6. $2102 for ongoing care + $1815 for debts etc must be raised by Jan 14 (ET). Without payment, my care can be terminated, with potentially fatal results. 
  7. RECURRING DONATIONS (monthly/weekly/etc) could guarantee my ongoing care and would prevent CONSTANT FEARS FOR MY LIFE

Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a “ fast lane” of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. [1] The proposal reverses the FCC’s previous commitment to net neutrality and open internet and allows ISP’s like Comcast or Verizon to slow down and censor services that don’t pay the toll.

We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim. But there is still hope. The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through. If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.

We need to stop the FCC now. Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesday’s announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward. [2]

This is a critical moment. In the last few weeks more than 65,000 people have taken action with us. Can you help us get to 80,000 by the end of the day today?
